do you hear them falling?

poetry.
not much else.
just drops of water in an ocean.

either you're one of the lucky few,
or i've opened up my mind
to anyone who wants to see it

'drops' are simply small things–
resonating, rippling on water.
it seemed an apt name for this site,

and it reminded me that
i never would have ended up
where i am today in web design
were it not for georgie cooke
and her now-defunct site, Heartdrops.org.

i would also be remiss
not to mention alan hero
who for many quiet years
was the sole patron of my poetic work–
my inspiration to never stop writing.

and finally, thanks to martín espada
for signing my copy of Alabanza
and encouraging me
to find my trouble ball
